This amazing class for children with special needs will combine yoga poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and deep relaxation to strengthen the nervous system, help connect to emotions, develop greater body awareness and concentration in a fun, safe environment by building a strong bond of trust with your child and the instructor. You will see improvements in strength and flexibility, as well as greater independence and self-esteem. These classes will incorporate music, dance, rhymes and stories as techniques to create an engaging and fun environment for your child. In yoga practice your child will also learn vital self-regulating tools that he or she can take off the mat and into their daily life to improve their overall response to stressor and certain tension patterns. This will be a highlight of their week and ours.
Tween Yogis (ages 10-13)
Tap into the power of yoga for mind and body at that point in your life when you need it most! Learn control of breath to take you through those stressful moments while strengthening your body and increasing your flexibility and balance. Oh, and did we mention it’s tons of fun?! (1 hour)
