I became dedicated to practicing yoga in 2010, and it empowered me to transform. I had worked hard to cultivate balance in my life, but struggled to stay grounded on a path of healthy, joyful living. Yoga held the key. It unlocked doors to hidden places where I held tension and resistance to change. By simply moving through a series of poses, connecting to my breath, and focusing my energy on self-care, I connected powerfully to inner resources I wasn’t utilizing before. My body became strong and I felt my spirit shine. To me, yoga is a path for those who are seeking sustainable, integrated, and holistic wellness.
In my classes, I create an environment for you to have a dynamic experience, no matter what brings you to your mat. I incorporate a blend of strengthening poses and deep stretches, so that you are physically challenged and energetically rejuvenated. You will find an emphasis on mindfulness, connection to the breath, and proper alignment. It’s my aim to meet you where you are, and guide you on your journey to a more radiant life.
Participating in an Off The Mat, Into The World leadership program inspired me to study with Hala Khouri and Julian Walker at their Awakened Heart, Embodied Mind teacher training program in Venice, CA. I have a BA in Theater from UCLA, and love integrating my passion for creative play into classes for children and families. When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time outdoors with my fiancé Zach and our sweet dogs Sadie and Zoe.
