Prenatal/Postpartum Yogis

This class is taught by:

Charlotte Hunt

Charlotte has been practicing yoga since 1998 when she took a stress reduction class in college and fell in love with the yoga tradition. After graduating from college, Charlotte moved to London where she continued to practice Ashtanga and Bikram yoga while attending Montessori College. In 2008, after experiencing an easier pregnancy, labor and delivery with the support of a regular yoga practice, Charlotte took her yoga teacher training, specializing in prenatal and children's yoga. As a Montessori teacher at St. James Montessori School for six years, Charlotte used her yoga skills in her pre-k classroom, coordinated the yoga curriculum for teachers to use in their rooms and taught weekly classes to the 4,5 and 6 year olds. She has been teaching prenatal yoga for almost six years and is currently expecting her third child. Yoga has been the grounding force for an active, happy life with her husband and children. She loves sharing her practice with kids of all ages and helping expectant and postpartum mommies feel strong, balanced and beautiful!

Constance Poitou

Born in France, I graduated from The University of Sorbonne with a degree in mathematics. Due to my eclectic roots, I've adopted a scientific approach to my teaching ---exploring and experimenting---searching for innovative ways to incorporate breathing into my practice. I’ve done intensive trainings and workshops with Bryan Kest, Shiva Rea, and have since been impacted by Wanderlust Yoga’s geniuses, Schyuler Grant and Chad Dennis.
I'm currently working with elite athletes at Michael Johnson Performance, McKinney, Texas, where I've been developing a yoga-based movement sequence using muscle activation and breathing techniques to optimize posture and achieve proper alignment.

Erin Brandao

Erin started taking yoga classes in college ten years ago and loved it but it wasn't until a few years ago that she decided to make a career out of it. She was certified to teach adults through the Namah Shivaya school here in Dallas in 2011 and received additional training to teach children through Yogees by Taylor Yoss in 2012. She truly believes in the power of yoga to heal and grow, both physically and mentally, and she is excited to bring yoga to a wide cross-section of the community at We Yogis studio.

Georgette Dunn

Georgette Dunn Shropshire often jokes; that her bubbly personality ironically led her to leave her first yoga class before it really started! She wasn’t ready to witness the real power one gains when they slow down and listen; but that inner voice became loud and clear and she returned to yoga in 2005 and it felt like a home coming party! Like many yoga practitioners; she felt a sense of joy and peace that she never gained through any other form of fitness and she was hooked – line & sinker. In an effort to stop waiting for the “perfect” time and to go ahead and stop day dreaming; she happily enrolled and completed her 200HR power yoga teacher training in 2001. Georgette’s style of teaching comes from a place of joy, strength and freedom to be completely yourself! From the moment you enter her class, she hopes to remind you that you are phenomenally made and able to take your practice to any place you dare to go!
