The Balance of Anatomy in Yoga: Spine


This class is taught by:
Our bones provide the structural framework for our body and the spine not only holds us upright but also houses the spinal cord which carries information from the brain to the rest of the body. We have many different ranges of motions in the spine depending on the area and many vulnerabilities including the lumbar spine, cervical spine and disks. Through this workshop you will gain a deeper understanding of the biomechanics and structure of the spine as well as the surrounding muscles that give it support. In application of this knowledge we will look at the important things we should pay attention too in the yoga practice when finding balance between strength, flexibility and stability.
